The Bio-Pure sewage tank treats solids as well as liquids by means of extended aeration treatment (using bacterial colonisation). This means that it can run for up to five years without requiring emptying (desludging). It eliminates the smelly, primary settlement tank that both septic tanks and traditional sewage treatment plants use.
The Bio-Pure range consists of 9 models; 5 single treatment plants catering for a population of 1 to 20 people and 4 twin units catering from 20 to 40 people, specifically designed for speedy installation and low long-term life costs. Once installed in the ground only a 730 mm square lid remains visible on the surface.

The Bio-Pure is Environment Agency Compliant
The unit meets the Environment Agency requirement for Consent to Discharge and is designed in accordance with EN12566-3 2007 and BS6297 to clean to a final effluent standard to 20 mg/l biological oxygen demand (BOD) and 30 mg/l suspended solids on a 95 percentile basis.
